Bhikitia Founder Parvej Husen Talukder has approved a separate Authority of Bangla Bhikitia, effective 1 August 2026.
Under the decision, Bangla Bhikitia will be separated from the central control of the wider Bhikitia project and will operate through its own Authority, with a focus on improving knowledge quality, editorial standards and community practices.
The current Bhikitia executive leadership will transition to serve as the provisional committee of the Authority of Bangla Bhikitia, ensuring continuity while giving the Bengali edition its own direction and administration. A permanent committee structure may be established separately in the future.
Bangla Bhikitia (https://bn.bhikitia.org) will continue as a Bengali-language and Bangladesh-focused encyclopedia, committed to accurate, reliable and responsible knowledge.
