Bhikitia, Bangladesh’s multilingual open online encyclopedia, is pleased to announce the appointment of ABM Sohel Rashid as Chairman of The Bhikitia Authority, the executive leadership body guiding the platform’s mission and long-term strategy.
As Chairman, ABM Sohel Rashid will provide strategic leadership to strengthen Bhikitia’s commitment to open, accessible, and community-driven knowledge. Under his guidance, the Authority will continue to advance platform governance, technological growth, community development, legal compliance, and sustainable operations.
Bhikitia was launched in October 2024 with a focus on Bengali-language content while expanding multilingual access to reliable information. The platform is built on collaborative authorship and volunteer contributions to support education, culture, and public knowledge.
